If you want to start new gatherings, or develop an effective relationship with a local tribe or band, or figure out ways to disciple non-churched natives, now THAT'S something we can do.
If you want to help us plant 300 churches in Brazil - YOU can help! We have already received requests for planting 300 churches in villages which have none, and the requests are not part of a missions campaign but have been directly requested by the communities and chiefs themselves.
What we do:
Being With the People - Above all, we are called to be part of the local community. For us the "local community" seems to cover Southern BC, Washington, and Northern Oregon. If we can drive in under a day, it's local. We spend more time with traditional (non-churched) people, but we can be found in a church occasionally.
Training Leaders for New Gatherings - for new and existing ministries, we prepare people for cross cultural service by directing the First Nations Center, participating in discussion forums, and writing for the Talking Circle Journal and other places. We make our courses available to others for ministry development. If you want to use something we have, just ask.
Cross-Cultural Consulting & Workshops - People call us, email us and meet in person as often as we can. It can't hurt to ask. Move your vision forward with a workshop or gathering to train, inspire, celebrate and restore!
Publishing Native Resources - small group guidebooks, discipleship materials, videos and articles. If you have a manuscript that you think is needed in native cultural ministry, please let us know. Most of what we produce can be ordered from www.healingtheland.com.
Liz & Ray prefer to work together, but occasional travel alone is okay. We like to stay home and "be local", but if we are really needed, please call us. Let's talk! .
